Description

The Medium Chess Knight Rêve Equestre reinterprets the iconic figure of the knight with a contemporary sculptural vision. A symbol of nobility, power and mastery, the horse’s head is expressed in clean, strong lines that highlight the animal’s expressive force. With its generous proportions and striking presence, this creation fully embodies its decorative character while retaining the strategic and symbolic spirit of the chess world.

The crystal paste reveals subtle gradations of golden amber and mahogany that animate the volumes and delicately capture the light. The contrasts between polished surfaces and more textured reliefs, evoking the mane or the texture of leather, add depth and richness to the sculpture. Hand-crafted using the ancient lost-wax technique, the Medium Chess Knight is a testament to the exceptional craftsmanship of the Daum House and its unique mastery of materials.
